Zero-energy housing and zero net energy housing capable of generating the necessary energy on its own

When it comes to zero-energy housing (energy self-reliant housing), it should be possible to carry out operation in houses, without an external supply of the necessary amount of energy, by only using the energy of the house and adding a high-efficiency renewable energy production facility to a house where ultra energy-saving technology is integrated.

However, it would be impossible or it would incur enormous cost to supply the required energy hourly and seasonally all year round using only through renewable energy production facilities. In consideration of such, we define new zero-energy housing as a type of housing that can be connected to an existing city energy supply network, making it possible to use existing energy. Also, when the generated energy is not necessary, it should be able to send energy through the network, making it even in the yearly balance sheet for each item. In order to realize net-zero housing in Korea, it is first required to plan a Koreanized ultra energy-saving housing suitable for the climate and sentiment in the country.

n addition to that, the Koreanized ultra energy-saving housing is required to take into consideration the domestic housing style and the national sentiment in Korea, as well as keep the comfortability of the internal environment (constant temperature, constant humidity, securing of internal air quality, and prevention of condensation and fungus) while minimizing the amount of energy consumption regardless of the external climate.
